Our client is an exciting, high growth e-commerce & payments technology company, who are currently scaling up and keen to recruit some exceptional talent for the team. As part of continued business growth, we are keen to hire an onboarding professional to join the business & lead a small team, taking ownership of the merchant account application & onboarding process with our banking and acquiring partners. We are a highly motivated, supportive, and friendly team, who can offer huge potential for further career growth within a high potential business.

About the role:

  • You will manage the overall onboarding process of all new customers and partners within the banking and payments space, including ensuring we follow the correct AML, KYC, and account set-up processes, in line with our banking partner requirements.
  • Working at pace & with high quality standards, you will reduce our merchant on boarding times and motivate/inspire your team to achieve agreed KPI’s to help support the business growth.

  • You will support the commercial/sales teams by communicating best practice when signing up new clients & sign-posting relevant information.
  • The successful candidate will have the ability & autonomy to develop a plan to make our processes better, quicker, and more robust to achieve the best possible service
  • You will manage, motivate, and develop a team of high-performance onboarding associates, recruiting new staff to the team when necessary & being an empathic, driven, and successful leader who always demonstrates best practice.

About you:

  • You are likely to have a good background in customer/merchant onboarding & sales support, preferably within payments, merchant services, acquiring, issuing, or payment processing.
  • Experience in high-risk industries, e-commerce & subscription models will be beneficial.
  • You will demonstrate great interpersonal skills with brilliant planning & communication abilities, able to work in a high growth, constantly changing environment.
  • People / team leadership experience is key, with ability to plan for change & a well organised mentality.
  • You will use your experience of on boarding new merchant account customers to resolve issues, ease concerns and manage escalations
