Job Scope
Our client is a global unicorn fintech with a unique, cutting-edge full stack  payment platform and  some of the best known brands in the world for clients. They have a brand new opening in their Paris office where you will form part of a dynamic, progressive team and collaborate with key internal and external stakeholders. In this environment you will be supported  to innovate and deliver your  best work.
To be successful in this role, you will come from a Scheme. Issuer, Acquirer or Merchant background and have payments gravitas with an affinity for problem solving and   optimising  authorisation rates. This is an external facing role, supporting a key corporate  strategic initiative and requires the ability to engage with Issuers at all levels.
 
Day to day you will :
 

  • Take the lead in engaging issuers and merchants, to strengthen the market position as a leader in comprehensive data-driven payment solutions
  • Work alongside key internal and external stakeholders and be responsible for leading Issuer engagements in France establishing a network of strategic Card Issuers
  • Build partnerships with Issuers  to raise, investigate and resolve soft declines and other payment performance discrepancies, and unearth card authorisation optimisation opportunities for merchants to drive business growth
  • Deliver Issuer engagement and provide insight
  • Partner with Commercial Teams to provide insights on business performance improvement

 
Experience required :

  • 3+ years’ experience in Payments environment
  • Excellent communication skills with payment industry gravitas
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Executive presence with an ability to take initiative and find creative solutions & effective ways of communicating business solutions
  • Capable of being flexible and navigating complex Issuing organizations
  • Fluent in both English and French, showcasing exceptional communication skills.
  • Prior programme level work in Card Authorisation Optimisation, Risk/Fraud is a plus
  • Existing or previous Issuing bank contacts or Data Analytics skills are also valued
