Role Summary

The organisation is searching for an Account Executive partnering with Acquirers in the UK and Ireland. As a key member of the Merchant Sales & Solutions team, the selected candidate will bring leadership, vision and creativity to expanding acceptance, growing usage, and partnering with acquirers to drive solutions in the UK and Ireland. This AE will deliver on high-profile, cross functional strategies and plans, and, working in tandem with internal partners, identify and cultivate acquirer growth opportunities, engage with key acquirers, and develop acquirer business plans, in order to deliver sustainable revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

  • Partner with acquirers - Build strong acquirer client relationships and be the key interface for acquirers in the UK & Ireland; identification and secure of new business; build direct relationships with targeted acquirers defined for dedicated account coverage to establish a preference; develop strategic relationships with senior management of acquirers and track through account planning process
  • Drive positive acquirer outcomes - establish fluency in all merchant-facing solutions and communicate and articulate all aspects of the organisation's value proposition for acquirers; consultatively identify and prioritise acquirer needs and craft customised solutions that drive specific commercial metrics (e.g., merchant business growth, organisational growth) and increase merchant satisfaction with Visa products/ services
  • Optimise acquirer investments - identify opportunities that will jointly benefit acquirers and the company, driving sales, develop appropriate business cases and forecasts, advocate for funding, identify and deploy resources to address objectives, track our performance, and use learnings to inform future investment
  • Establish strong internal partnerships - partner with functions across the organisation (e.g., sub-regional leadership, marketing, product development, etc. to collaboratively define responsibilities for various acquirer outcomes and troubleshoot acquirer relationships within Visa internally

Profile

Acquiring Account Executive - Payments/Merchant Services

Required Experience

  • Experienced, results oriented leader with at least 10-12+ years business experience and a proven track record in managing clients/accounts, developing relationships and sales partnerships, and managing high performing, fast paced teams
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to establish effective relationships and communicate with all levels of the organisation including executive management.
  • Exceptional ability to manage & grow internal and external resources and cross functional relationships
  • Proven ability to negotiate business agreements and to enhance existing and develop new business partnerships.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to work collaboratively across functions and geographies in a complex matrix environment
  • Strong strategic and thought leadership skills
  • Experience with client consulting projects a plus
  • Strong understanding of global payment system a plus
  • Global & entrepreneurial mindset
  • Data management and analytics skills
  • Vertical / segment expertise
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time

Job Offer

A basic salary of £70,000 - £85,000

£6,000 Car Allowance
