Assistant E-Commerce Co-ordinator- Eastbourne

Full Time 39 hours Monday - Sunday on varied Rota

Salary £17,502 per annum plus pension and benefits

Customer Service operating hours

Monday-Friday 7am-7pm, Saturday 8am-5pm, Sunday 9am - 5pm

We have an exciting opportunity for a Assistant E-Commerce Co-ordinator to join our Central Warehouse and Distribution Centre in Eastbourne. Dealing with customer's enquiries for our Wallpaperdirect, Designerpaint and BrewersHome online businesses, you will play a vital part in assisting our customers with their orders, product selection and design project enquiries.

Based on Birch Road in Lottbridge Drove, Eastbourne we have been selling wallcoverings online for over 16 years and with access to over 11,000 different wallcoverings and a stock of over 4,000 we are able to offer our customers an extremely varied choice. Our Customer Service department aims to not only meet but exceed our customer's expectations, working to departmental guidelines.

Brewers is a family run business, with over 110 years' history in our industry. We are the first choice for the professional Decorator, with over 155 branches nationwide. We enjoy a growing base of retail customers who value our quality products, advice and excellent service.


Experience with our products isn't strictly necessary, if you have previous retail experience and bring great customer service and team working skills - we would like to hear from you!

As a member of our Customer Service Team:

  • Promptly dealing with all enquiries from our customers, via phone or email
  • Effectively dealing with the administration of orders operating the POS (Point of Sale) system and other role related systems agreed standards and processes
  • Liaising with the e-commerce supervisor on more complex enquiries & queries
  • Establishing good relationships with customers and the operational departments within the business

  • Approachable, possessing an open and friendly personality
  • Enjoys working and supporting a team, but can be relied upon to work as an individual at all times
  • Excellent organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Can work quickly, and accurately, with good attention to detail
  • Able to demonstrate confident computer skills with MS Word, Excel etc
  • Keen to learn, develop skills, and progress within our industry
