As the Business Analytics Manager, you are responsible for a variety of tasks which would include:
  • Planning and conducting in-depth analyses on a variety of comprehensive business issues and prepares result summaries and recommendations.
  • Responsible for providing the analytic support across a number of key business areas including Lending, Marketing, Payments, Member Experience and Financial Assistance.
  • Developing predictive models and what-if analysis tool(s) and reports for risk monitoring and market intelligence and segmentation.
  • Resolving problems through analysis of data, identification of root cause(s), evaluation of options, rendering of decisions and implementation of action.
  • Planning and managing implementation of complex reporting and analysis projects ensuring execution and an elevated level of follow through.
  • Spearheading effective interface with other RCU departments by directing/serving on committees.
  • Preparing monthly reports and analysis designed to keep the Chief Lending Officer and Senior Leadership Team up to date.
  • Implementing process improvements for department procedures and policies.
  • Assuring compliance with budget by monitoring activities and reporting deviations.
  • Supervising staff: goals, training, resources, support, feedback, and accountability.

Required Skills

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Excellent database, spreadsheet, mathematical and analytical skills required.
  • Advanced knowledge and proficiency of various software programs including: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Databases.
  • Technical proficiency in SAS, SQL, Access and decision tree software preferred.
  • Sound knowledge of database architecture and relational databases.
  • Experience with depository financial institution financial modeling and forecasting and analysis of line of business profitability is preferred.
  • Ability to analyze problems and opportunities, identify and evaluate alternatives, and develop sound, effective approaches.
  • Ability to plan, implement, and evaluate the achievement of goals, objectives, and work plans.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with a diverse group of people including Board Members, regulators, members, employees, attorneys, vendors, and other parties.
  • Ability to travel 20% of time. Work environment is indoors, majority of the time is spent sitting at a desk.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • 1 Senior Business Intelligence Analyst
  • 2 to 3 Business Intelligence Analysts
Required Experience

Education/Experience:

Qualified candidates will have a combination of education and experience equivalent to:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems Management, Engineering, Mathematics or a closely related field.
  • A minimum of five years' of experience in managing a data-centric department.
  • Experience in depository financial institution processes and procedures or similar experience is preferred.
