(BN305) Business Development Manager - Issuing
Location: London
Type: Permanent
Salary: £50,000 - £80,000 Per Annum (+ excellent benefits & bonus)

Responsible for onboarding and growing a portfolio of Issuing clients. The key objective is to own the full sales cycle from lead generation and prospecting to the closure of the deal. The Business Development Manager will also be responsible for client relationship with the onboarded clients and partners becoming a single point of contact, building strong relationships that will enable long-term client retention & growth in revenue from issuing clients.

This is a demanding role and is a key part of the UK & European Issuing team. The role holder will work closely with Issuing Account Management, Issuing Operations, Risk / Compliance and Finance, and will report to the Vice President of Issuing.

Responsibilities:

• Onboard new clients and partners leveraging own network and/or by creating one

• Attend industry events and networking conferences

• Build strong relationships with key stakeholders within the clients’ organisation

• Provide support for onboarded issuing clients together with Account Management

• Display a strong understanding of each client’s business model and effectively promote and sell our payments’ solutions in order to grow existing portfolio and help issuing clients to optimise their payments activities

• Collaborate with Account Management and Marketing to drive new revenue opportunities.

• Reach specified targets through effective leadership, consultative support, relationship building and strategic partnering in order to contribute to the attainment of the Company’s sales goals

• Continue to develop knowledge within the prepaid / payments space through internal and external training – working towards becoming an expert in the field

• Reach revenue targets through effective leadership, consultative support, relationship building and strategic partnering in order to contribute to the attainment of the Company’s sales goals

• Convey clear information at all times to clients regarding ongoing issues, pricing and fee structures, industry rules and regulations, security and compliance matters, product information and project progress.

• Communicate daily with Management to discuss progress with issues, new business opportunities and appropriate sales tactics, and actively participate in regular sales meetings.

• Some travel may be required

• Other tasks as required by the Management team Skills and Qualifications:

• Highly customer focused with experience of the payments industry is crucial to the role

• Solid experience onboarding clients and partners within the issuing / prepaid market and proven track record in growing a client portfolio and in achieving and exceeding established revenue targets

• Highly organized with the ability to manage issues successfully from start to completion working with multiple internal departments

• Commercially aware with able to think strategically and spot new opportunities

• Confident presentation style

• Comfortable with multi-tasking and capable of handling a high workload against tight deadlines

• Fluent communicator and ability to adjust their written and spoken style to the audience

• Technical/problem solving skills

• Ability to work as part of a very fast paced company/team as well as autonomously
