Job Description

I have an exciting opportunity for a Procurement professional to join a leading research-based pharmaceutical company. The company has operations globally and is looking for a Category Specialist to join their team based in Hertfordshire. They research, develop and market life changing medicines around the world.

The main areas of the role are: Category Management, SAP P2P Administration & Procurement Analysis.

Duties and responsibilities include:

??? Lead tenders and / or negotiations for goods and services.

??? Work with budget holders and stakeholders to select appropriate suppliers to meet Business needs.

??? Carry out Supplier Management and supplier Quarterly Business reviews

??? Carry out Value For Money checks of discretionary investments made by Business Groups.

??? Provide training and refresher training and P2P updates as and when required for all system users or new starters if necessary and guidance to existing users.

??? Manage and handle enquiries in Procurement inbox to Service Level Agreement (SLA)

??? Train SAP P2P Super Users for each EMEA affiliate implementation, provide on-going support and guidance to these users or to roll out projects/ upgrades (this may require travel to affiliates)

??? Generate and analyse EMEA category 'managed spend' reports for use by the Business Effectiveness team and senior management (on a scheduled, typically quarterly, and ad-hoc basis). Reports to be generated from a range of sources such as SAP, Accounts Payable and Eisai's credit card provider reports using Microsoft Excel and audit tools

??? Develop and improve such reports as required to meet the changing needs of the Procurement function

??? Work closely with the Business Effectiveness team to gain an in- depth understanding of spends across EMEA by category, supplier, country and budget holder to support the achievement of procurement SOP compliance , 'value for money' procurement and identifying future potential category tender activity.

??? Maintain close & effective working relationships with Procurement colleagues and internal customers.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

??? Demonstrated Procurement Experience

??? Knowledge and experience of SAP or a similar ERP system

??? Experience of project management

??? Trained and experienced to at least intermediate level with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables etc.)

??? Experience of leading tenders
