In a world of Internet commerce, Heartland's eBusiness Specialists work directly with owners and developers of eCommerce websites throughout the United States to assist them with their card processing and security needs. You'll have the advantage of training with an experienced sales mentor during your first 30 days of employment to help train and prepare you for the job role. The eBusiness (eBiz) Specialist's primary responsibility is to be the subject matter expert for Heartland's Partner, Customer, and Sales force in regards to the eCommerce and Bolletta product lines. The eBusiness Specialist will be assigned to one of Heartland's 10 selling regions. The eBusiness Specialist duties will consist of administering Region and Division calls to educate Heartland's sales force on the eCommerce and Bolletta product lines as well as conducting merchant calls to advise the customer on which of Heartland's card not present products would be best for their environment. The job expectation will also have the Specialist in a direct sales role cold calling to prospective eCommerce and Bolletta merchants to add them to the Heartland portfolio.

Job Requirements

  • Prospect for new business using Salesforce - creating leads based on location, competitor market share and area businesses.
  • Apply consultative sales approach to uncover and address business needs.
  • Present value proposition and close sales with clients signing contract via atlas on the spot.
  • Serving as the eCommerce payments "expert" to convert or enroll clients with Heartland Online Storefront, Secure Submit, and other eCommerce payment solutions
  • Providing expert ecommerce industry information to clients
  • Upsell clients on loyalty marketing, mobile and other products and services.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with Territory and Division Manager.
  • Meet regularly with the Sales Training & Technology team for continuous payment and sales education.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor's degree preferred -or- an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Three plus years of sales experience in the card processing or IT industry
  • Proficiency in Salesforce.com or equivalent CRM program preferred
  • Proven track record of success; (i.e., sales rankings, trips and incentives)
