Role Overview

Elavon is currently seeking an eCommerce Technical Sales/ Sales Engineer Consultant, who will be a part of the European eCommerce team. The eCommerce Technical Sales Consultant will be responsible for driving new revenue from eCommerce merchant opportunities by supporting the sales teams and providing the necessary technical and market knowledge to help drive sales growth.

Main Job Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate strong market knowledge of the eCommerce space
  • Engage with product teams to help drive strategy based on market requirements
  • Build relationship with banks, ISV's and other lead sources to drive leads
  • Support the Sales Consultant from lead to close, by providing the relevant technical knowledge
  • Design payments solutions for clients, including multi-national corporates
  • Identify value-add services for prospects
  • Assist Sales team member and various internal teams with the end-to-end sales cycle
  • Identify business opportunities based on knowledge of clients, markets, products and services
  • Develop profitable new business account relationships
  • Assist with responses to RFI's and RFP's

Main Role Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in a relevant field
  • Experience in the Payments Industry and Financial Services Industry, preferably eCommerce
  • Passion for innovation and emerging technology
  • Experience in a client facing role selling and/or supporting complex enterprise software, technical or financial services
  • Strong consultative sales skills
  • Creative deal closer
  • Ability to build strong pipeline with profitable opportunities
  • Solve complex needs and work across internal teams including risk, operations, product etc.
  • Relevant network is a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Excellent marketing and business development/sales skills
