Job Description

Reporting to the Sr. Manager, EMV Implementation on the PULSE EFT team, the EMV Consultant will be responsible for creating and managing the day-to-day activities for D-PAS chip card implementation support and providing subject matter expertise to PULSE issuers, acquirers and merchants that are migrating from magstripe to chip cards and provide information and guidance on the implementation options and D-PAS specifications. This is an individual contributor role.

EMV is a specification for secure transactions between cards with integrated chips (chip cards), terminals capable of reading chip cards, issuers, and acquirers. The EMV specifications broadly impact the payment ecosystem from card issuing to merchant acquiring.

• Leading projects to enable PULSE Network issuers, acquirers, and terminal owners to process D-PAS chipcard transactions
• Work with terminal manufacturers, card manufacturers, personalization bureaus, testing labs, and test tool vendors, to enable support for D-PAS
• Assist with negotiating legal agreements for testing and certification, and manage the production certification process with the assistance of testing laboratory
• Manage project timelines accordingly, to successful completion, manage the resolution of failed tests, and provide final certification or rejection
• Provide technical product knowledge, EMV process expertise, and project management advice and help to resolve issues that arise during planning, implementation and rollout including regional differences and requests for policy exceptions and waivers
• Promote a risk-aware culture, ensure efficient and effective risk and compliance management practices by adhering to required standards and processes

Skills Required:
• Bachelor’s degree
• 8 years’ experience in the Financial Services industry
• Experience in client negotiations and business development

Skills Desired:
• 3-5 years Payments experience; Network, Acquirer or Issuer experience
• 3-5 years EMV/Chip card experience
• 2-4 years Client facing Implementations or Project Management
