Oliver James Associates Dublin are representing a global Fintech Payments organisation in their expansion into the Irish Market. Our client are seeking to appoint an Enterprise Risk Manager to support the company's growth throughout Europe.

As the Enterprise Risk Manager, you will develop, implement and manage an ERM framework for the companies Irish regulated businesses in line with the Group's existing ERM framework and strategy. The role reports to the Chief Risk Officer.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Support the implementation of the Global Governance, Risk and Compliance Portal Tool to establish Enterprise Risk Management for the Irish based regulated businesses and development of top-down and bottom up risk assessment approaches and tools, as well as the development of Risk Appetite and Tolerance statements for those businesses
  • Drive consistency and discipline into the ERM process across the Irish based businesses in line with the company's existing ERM Framework.
  • Collaborate with members of the Irish based businesses to ensure an effective internal and external control framework is implemented and maintained. Collaborate with other senior management in the Group to develop reports for the Irish Boards and related Committees.
  • Thorough understanding of the ERM framework and related components (Metrics, Internal/External Incidents, Issues & Actions, Scenario Analysis, RCSA, Risk Maturity Self-Assessment, Risk Reporting etc.)
  • Develop a detailed knowledge of the business, ERM process and how risks can impact the strategic direction of the Group
  • Effective interaction with senior leadership in assigned business units across the Irish based businesses
  • Produce ERM risk reporting for different levels of the Group utilising techniques that are tailored to suit the audience
  • Develop and support / review KPI & KRI assessment and reporting process, challenge analysis where appropriate
  • Conduct / facilitate risk management training / awareness
  • Evaluate the need and assist in the escalation of risks / events to appropriate levels of management and Committees
  • Provide guidance on the ERM function to the business units within the Irish based businesses by overseeing and expanding the implementation of the ERM programs for group operations and promoting the company-wide culture of ERM among senior management and business units in the Irish based businesses and other relevant parts of the Group
  • Build on and further develop a standardised framework to identify, quantify, measure, report and mitigate risk across the Company.

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

A minimum of 5+ years related operational risk experience in the financial, payment services industry with a preferred focus on the development or implementation of risk management programs

Other Qualifications:

  • An undergraduate degree in a related field or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of operational risk management protocols and standards
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • A team player able to work effectively in a team fostered, multi-tasking environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, e.g. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Visio and SharePoint
