DESCRIPTION - Fintech - Compliance Analyst

My client is breaking down the barriers that stop Europe's 20 million small businesses from accessing finance. Traditional bank loans have slow application processes, inflexible terms and burdensome criteria. In contrast, my client uses cutting-edge technology to offer flexible access to credit with a five minute application process and a decision in hours.

Since 2012, they have lent over £400 million to over 20,000 businesses across Europe. Their customers include everything from caf??s to car dealers, salons to solicitors. Along the way they have built a sophisticated technology platform, won numerous awards and grown a fun, and vibrant team.

Key Accountabilities of the Fintech - Compliance Analyst

  • Conducting periodic file reviews and compliance monitoring. This will include both in-house activities and those of 3rd parties.
  • Ensuring findings are recorded and followed-up with management.
  • Reviewing marketing materials and websites to ensure compliance with regulatory obligations.
  • Conducting thematic reviews into particular areas of concern.
  • Dealing with customer complaints that require formal resolution.
  • Assisting with key regulatory change projects.
  • Responding to the business' queries and request for advice (escalating where necessary).
  • Keep up to date with, and understand, relevant laws and regulations.
  • General ad-hoc and administrative compliance tasks.

Requirements for the Fintech - Compliance Analyst

  • 3+ years experience in the financial services sector - MUST BE FROM A CONSUMER CREDIT BACKGROUND
  • Good knowledge of the consumer credit regulations (expertise in AML, data protection and payment services would be a plus)
  • An analytical approach to assessing conduct risks and the fair treatment of customers
  • An ability to challenge existing business practices
  • A motivation for professional development in this area.
