Fintech has the ability to significantly alter the structure of the financial system. A new "Fintech Hub" has been created to lead work on understanding the impact of fintech on the Bank's Mission and oversee the fintech work of other areas of the Bank. An exciting opportunity has arisen in the Fintech Hub for a Fintech Analyst, who will play a crucial role in the Hub, managing interactions with other areas of the Bank undertaking fintech work, briefing the Governors and the senior leadership team on a regular basis, managing our external correspondence and analysing the impact of specific fintech developments on the Bank's Mission. The role would suit an energetic, and organised individual, who wishes to be deeply engaged with the Bank's work on fintech and help to drive the Bank's engagement in the sector. Department Overview The Fintech Hub is a cross-Bank resource; it sits in the Banking, Payments and Financial Resilience Directorate. Job description New technology could fundamentally impact the financial system and new entities could emerge offering financial services. It is important that the Bank understands fintech developments and considers the risks and opportunities it offers for its Mission. The Bank also needs to consider whether new technologies should be adopted to enhance the efficiency of its own operations and as a regulator. The jobholder will work alongside 3 Senior Fintech Specialists and a Senior Manager. As a small team, all members of the Fintech Hub need to work nimbly and flexibly together, covering and supporting each other to focus on what matters most for the Bank's Mission.
