Partnerships Manager - Payments - Merchant Services

The Cross border Partnerships Manager is a key member of the Cross-Border team in Europe.

As a Senior Manager in the Merchants team dedicated to the organisation's Cross-Border agenda, you will act as the single-point-of-contact for the organisation's best practices on Cross-Border related merchant activities.

This role will act as the subject matter expert for the Account management team to drive Cross-Border activities with merchants, and play a key role in driving positive outcomes for relevant merchants (e.g. Travel Retail, Duty Free, lighthouse merchants for tourists etc).

You will also play a key role in establishing broader, digital partnerships with partners in the Travel and eCom space that can help drive greater penetration in Cross-Border payments.

Finally, you will be responsible for developing the internal Cross-Border strategy for Merchants - identifying priority Cross-Border merchants, and supporting local teams on structuring retailer and partner offers.

The role will work collaboratively with the European Merchant and Acquiring team.

Responsibilities

  • Act as single-point-of-contact for best practices on Cross-Border merchant activities (e.g. partnership structures, PoS branding, offers etc)
  • Be the subject matter expert for the Account management team to drive Cross-Border activities with merchants
  • Build and collate industry specific (eg retail, travel) Cross-Border value propositions
  • Participate in client meetings to drive the Cross-Border value proposition forward
  • Lead working groups to establish Cross-Border partnerships with relevant merchants in key European markets
  • Work with local market teams and Cross-Border marketing lead in structuring (and collating existing global) retailer / partner offers for cardholders
  • Develop and refresh list of priority Cross-Border merchants
  • Establish strong internal partnerships and fluency in all merchant-facing solutions

Profile

Partnerships Manager - Payments - Merchant Services

Requirements

  • 5+ years' experience in client facing roles
  • Product, Business development (sales) experience and abilities, preferably with large merchant clients
  • Current and relevant experience within the payment industry
  • Prior experience in working with, or for merchants (global retail / travel / e-commerce brands); issuer / digital or mobile payment / loyalty experience is a plus
  • Strong commercial mindset - with ability to communicate complex technical/financial concepts with subject-matter experts
  • Ability to work independently and in collaboration with high level of success/achievement
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Data-driven mindset; comfortable deriving business insights from data sets
  • Fully proficient on all Microsoft products

Job Offer

A basic salary of £74,000 - £87,000 depending on experience

Plus Bonus and numerous company benefits
