We are seeking a POS System Administrator to join our team at our corporate office in Orlando, FL. The POS System Administrator is responsible for adjusting, monitoring, troubleshooting and overall efficient operation of the Point of Sale (POS) system. This includes all aspects of system development and enhancement, procedure and best practice development, maintenance and troubleshooting and training guide development.

Overview & Responsibilities:

  • Manage the creation and configuration of database builds for new retail locations.Perform POS programming tasks (e.g., adding/removing functionality, updating prices and taxes, adding and removing items, configuring discounts, and promotions, maintains architecture for improved performance and proper reporting, etc.
  • Define, establish, and implement best practices and procedure for POS, back office operations, and online integrations.
  • Develop procedures, streamline current practices, apply established protocol for managing configuration changes, implement pricing updates, and execute software upgrades across brands.
  • Conduct configuration, programming, and testing of POS systems and back office software.
  • Gather, record, track, and update the POS database and routinely test POS database changes.
  • Develop and manage training program for field employees with support from internal and vendor learning and development teams.
  • Serve as primary point of contact with POS vendor for all communication.
  • Respond, resolve, and record technical issues related to changes to the POS database.
  • Troubleshoot POS and back office problems and collaborate with locations and other support technicians to resolve support issues.
  • Coordinate and communicate system enhancements and updates with Team Members, to ensure efficient processing.
  • Develop and maintain data management protocol with regards to all data and configurations within the POS.
  • Ensure all accounting procedures are reflected in the POS configuration and work with accounting team to resolve any discrepancies with the system data.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor Degree, preferably in Computer Science, Management Information Systems Accounting or related.
  • 3-5 years' progressive system administration experience.
  • 3-5 years' experience working with an ERP, POS or other financial system.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Understanding of basic accounting concepts required.
  • Finance or accounting experience preferred.
