Senior Executive Relationship Manager
Location- Hammersmith

BASIC FUNCTION:

1. Responsible for the TIER 1 Merchant Acceptance expansion in UK & ROI. Provide support to a portfolio of Acquirers to sell DGN acceptance to targeted merchants in line with agreed market Acquirer and sector strategy
2. Compile a detailed Tier One Merchant sales pipeline for allocated Acquirers / markets to achieve improved acceptance and volume in targeted Tier One merchants.
3. Identify, own, implement and track actions identified within the pipeline to secure increased acceptance in Tier One merchants, in support Discover Global Network.
4. Manage the updating and reporting of the Tier One Merchant tracking report list, engaging with and managing all stakeholders and securing appropriate support from multiple teams worldwide to ensure delivery.
5. Take ownership, on behalf of International Acceptance for the delivery of all Sales presentation and Marketing collateral, ensure it is kept updated with current messaging. Ensure that Allocated Acquirers are provided with this messaging


KEY SKILLS/COMPETENCIES and PROFICIENCY LEVELS:
1. Bachelors or Master’s Degree or Equivalent Experience.
2. 5-8 years plus Card Acquiring experience with an Acquirer or a Payment Service Provider in a Business development, sales and /or relationship management role is essential.
3. Card Acquiring experience with an Acquirer or a PSP, terminal provider.
4. Strong exposure to negotiating complex multi-million dollar Merchant contracts at C level members.
5. Strategic vision and ability to drive business and organizational change.
6. An Excellent communicator across all levels with Comprehensive knowledge of new technologies, esp. EMV; E-Commerce; M-Commerce
7. An additional European language will be desirable but not essential.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

1. Deliver increased acceptance in Tier One and Strategic Merchants across all acceptance channels, (POS; E-Commerce; M-Commerce) by effectively leveraging existing Agency Acquirer; VAS / PSP relationships and conducting direct merchant sales efforts. Conduct DGN Sales training for allocated acquirers and drive /coordinate efforts of stakeholders to achieve maximum increase in outlets accepting DFS cards.
2. Provide SME support to International Acceptance team and all stakeholders in the area of Tier One merchant sales; compile and coordinate all sales messaging, sales materials and Collateral on behalf of the EMEA based IA team. Serves as the regional subject matter expert regarding acceptance in the target market based on knowledge of partners, industry trends and competitive environment.
3. Identify and drive change across the organization that will facilitate growth in Merchant Outlets and Tier 1 merchant penetration. This will include challenging existing IOM rules and procedures through a consultative approach with internal stakeholders, including franchises and Agency Acquirers.
