Job Description

Technical Project Manager required for a rapidly growing FinTech start-up firm located in Central London to assist and organise their growing team of talented .NET developers. The firm specialises extracting data from financial documents by using a revolutionary new Artificial Intelligence tool for their clients in the Banking/Financial/Data sectors in North America, Asia and Europe.

By automating the data extraction process their clients have experienced an efficiency gain, data coverage improvements and reduction in processing times. Your role will be to help onboard their clients with the new technology, using a highly sophisticated, customisable parsing engine.

By joining the company now, (currently a rapidly growing team of 30) in this standalone role you'll gain as much accountability as you can handle and have an influence on building the company, giving you a real opportunity to make your mark.

Essential skills:

  • 3+ years of industry and project management experience, with a passion for building new technology
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions and recommendations
  • Undergraduate degree in computer science or related field of study
  • ETL experience (especially XML, CSV, SQL)
  • Exposure to agile software development methodologies
  • Experience leading small-to-medium sized teams and ability to work closely with engineers to deliver on aggressive schedules
  • A desire to increase knowledge of software, architecture and parsing technology
  • Ability to discuss deep technical concepts, evaluate trade-offs and devise innovative solutions with engineers

Role Responsibilities:

  • Liaising with different stake holders to prioritise and organise work. These include development, business users and analysts
  • Dealing with clients directly, ensuring the company teams have the necessary information and resources to deliver on time, enforcing realistic and aggressive deadlines
  • Scheduling development team stand-ups to keep project teams on track
  • Report to senior management regarding tasks completion, deadline status and blocking issues
