Job Description

I am currently recruiting for a market leading organisation in an idyllic part of North Yorkshire who are seeking an experienced 'E-commerce & Website Manager' to support their digital growth.

This is a new, senior role within the business, reporting directly to the MD. The role offers a high degree of autonomy for the right person. The role would suit an experienced digital professional with a track record of improving website conversion rates in the FMCG sector.

This role is part of our my clents ongoing investment in expanding their technology and logistics to meet growing customer demand and further establish themselves as a leader in the market.

Key deliverables:

  • Create and deliver an E-commerce plan for the business to meet online sales targets
  • Manage and develop a small team to run the website operations including CRO, content, security, new projects and reporting.
  • To develop a culture of digital best practice, ongoing training, and development within the broader team

Main Responsibilities

  • Develop an E-commerce plan to meet online sales targets
  • Collate, manage and share key performance indicators to drive decision making
  • Create and maintain an ongoing CRO program to improve website conversion rate Working with the team and our external digital marketing partner oversee multichannel digital marketing such as SEO, PPC, Social, Email
  • Working with the team plan and manage all product promotions, seasonal sales and clearance drives
  • Agree and implement a listing best practice and policy within the team, including merchandising and content standards
  • Be a point of contact for all website suppliers, including our external dev team, hosting, plugins, payment gateways, security, live chat, Trust Pilot and other technical aspects website operations
  • Working with the team to agree and implement a social media plan
  • Provide guidance, support and ongoing development for other team members
  • Undertake appropriate ongoing training and self-knowledge build

Who we're looking for

  • 3+ years' experience in an FMCG E-commerce environment
  • Evidence of significant experience in either PPC or SEO
  • Significant experience of high-value CRO
  • Familiar with using Magento CRM
  • 3+ years' experience of managing a marketing budget
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to work independently while integrating with the rest of the team
  • An excellent understanding of web design technologies, UX and design principles
  • Experience of managing a team

The salary for the role is up to £40,000 depending on experience + benefits package.
