Our client is looking for a Business Development Director to join their fast-growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a fundamental role in their rapid growth and expansion building out their Alternative Payment Methods network around the world.

 

If you are a motivated and driven leader who has a track record in building teams to establish new partnerships with leading Alternative Payment Methods (APM) providers and be a key team-playing stakeholder, this is the role for you. We're looking for a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is excited to be  joining at this pivotal growth point. You'll own the process of all required activities, such as sourcing and building relationships with target Alternative Payment Providers, aggregators and partners, contract negotiation and signing.

 

You will  sit within Financial Partnerships and partner closely with strategic teams in Product, Engineering and Commercial as well as with external stakeholders. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the launch and management of new payment methods and to add great value as we continue to grow.

What You'll Be Doing

o   Set the strategy and own the process of all required activities, such as sourcing and building relationships with target Alternative Payment Providers, aggregators and partners

o   Build a central team of Business development managers based in Europe, with the possibility to expand in markets

o   Own a pipeline of APMs for which to source partners, sign NDAs, define SLAs or SLOs, negotiate pricing and contractual terms, agree on service offering and pricing, draft contracts, onboard entities and execute funds flow set-up

o   Lead the negotiation and execution of Agreements with APM partners, in line with project requirements

o   Collaborate with the Product, Legal, Risk, Finance and Compliance teams

About You

o   8-10 years of Business Development experience, preferably in a high-growth, fast-pace payment service provider

o   A mix of operations, business development and relationship management experience

o   Technical understanding of Alternative payment methods and the various distribution models

o   Good commercial acumen with an understanding of business processes

o   Good Project Management Skills

o   Expected to be hands on. Not shy to get stuck in and roll your sleeves up

o   Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

o   Confident in partnership management and a keen collaborator

o   Highly organised and able to prioritise shifting workloads and responsibilities effectively

o   Self-motivated and driven
