An exciting opportunity has arisen at one of our   fastest -growing Fintech clients currently seeking a Compliance Manager with onboarding and 1st line defence experience to join their busy team

Sitting in the First Line of Defence, as  Compliance Manager you will be  a key contributor  to help ensure that the business  maintains fulfils its regulatory obligations. You will be onboarding, reviewing policies and processes and be responsible for transaction monitoring

As  an experienced Compliance Manager you will maintain oversight over client  relationships and help  maintain and develop a best-in-class governance framework.


 

Day to day you will

  • Lead and improve upon the Financial Crime Framework and Oversight process for clients
  • Support the onboarding of new clients
  • Perform Risk Assessments on new and existing relationships
  • Have oversight and governance of client  relationships, including reviewing applicable systems and controls in place , sample checking of outsourced activities and periodic reviews
  • Collation and review of Management Information on a periodic basis
  • Review client  Financial Promotions and other marketing materials
  • Support with reviewing client policies and procedures
  • Share compliance & risk knowledge with other team members
  • Escalations to Senior Management
  • Support in writing procedural documentation to implement policies
  • Managing a junior member of staff

To be successful in this role , you will possess

  • 1st line defence Compliance experience  in the payments / fintech space
  • Knowledge and experience of the BIN Sponsorship partnership model is desired
  • Extensive knowledge of AML, CTF and Sanctions regulations
  • Basic/intermediate understanding of BCOBS requirements (Banking: Conduct of Business Sourcebook)
  • Basic/intermediate understanding of Complaints Handling requirements
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Experience in stakeholder management
  • Willingness to learn and embrace different areas of Compliance/Risk
