Mastercard Consultant – Rules, regulations and card programmes specialist

Fully remote

Are you a specialist in Mastercard rules, regulations and card programmes ??

Initial 3 month contract available for a Consultant specialised in MasterCard rule, regulations and card programmes for an immediate start

·       Mastercard mandates and bulletins

o   Assessing impacts and onward communicating

o   Following up with processors and clients (understand and assess their responses) and to ensure compliance

o   Ensuring compliance for changes at processors

o   Implementing requirements (for example in Mastercard Connect) when it needs to be done by issuer

o   Tracking compliance status


·       Mastercard 3DS implementation and associated PSD2 indicators elements and systems

o   Assisting with tracking client status and compliance

o   Understanding regulatory and scheme requirements and updates relating to this

o   Assisting with tracking client status and compliance

o   Updating Mastercard portal for specific programme’s functionality


·       Mastercard Connect Usage and Projects

o   Investigate and raise with Mastercard permission and access issues (Security Administration/Access Manager)

o   Investigate and work with Mastercard on application issues (for example, Fraud Centre)

o   Manage registrations and updates of Service Providers

o   Review usage of available Mastercard services and implement client required functionality (eg STIP)

o   Escalated support on Mastercard projects with regards to APWs, NSIFs, variances/waivers and other forms


·       Processor Reporting implementations and issues

o   Assessing processor specifications mapping to our requirements

o   Managing processor reporting issues and working with processors to adjust

o   Working with logs and reports manually to extract required information to manage adjustments required

o   Working with XML and implementing macros where required


·       Chargebacks

o   Knowledge of the chargeback cycle, Claims Manager/MasterCom and associated processes

o   Assisting the team with Pre Arbitrations, Arbitrations, Pre Compliance, and Compliance cases

o   Implementation of Mastercard Claims Manager API projects with processors

o   Reviewing and assessing financial impacts, issues and reconciliation requirements associated with chargebacks


·       Scheme fees

o   Investigating new or adjusted scheme fees

o   Managing incorrect fee collections and sending them back


·       Assistance with interactions with legal (with Management support) mostly document reviews and updates:

o   Deeds of Migrations, may include some client interactions

o   Transfer/Fund migration reviews and assessments
