Technical Support Engineer – API Development

Technical Support Engineer with strong API and scripting / Development skills is needed for a FinTech that are expanding into the UK and Europe.


Key Skills:


  • Strong Technical Support
  • Ex Developer or strong scripting required
  • Experience with one of or more - PythonGolangnode.js
  • Strong webservices experience and API’s
  • Passionate about technology and proven ability to learn new languages


The FinTech are based out of the US with several offices and over 300 staff. The UK and European expansion will have a start-up feel but backed up by a proven US Tech focused company. Our client’s products are used to enable developers to build the next generation of financial services applications. When those developers have problems, they turn to the Technical Support team.


The Technical Support Engineer will manage issues from their first symptom to their eventual resolution, communicating clearly with customers and internal stakeholders.  It’s essential to have a very strong technical mindset with the ability to troubleshoot issues, as well as strong soft skills to support clients. The majority or support issues through tickets come via email so the ability to write clear instructions via email is important.


Day to day, the Technical Support Engineer will investigate issues and root cause. You will be work closely with Engineering teams and be able to fix issues such as trouble with an SDK.


New offices are being opened in London, however initially there may be an option for some homeworking. Candidates will need to be accessible to London for day to day working in the future. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to support a technology focused company using some of the latest tools. It is a chance to join the UK team at a early stage with extensive growth of the company expected.
