Account Manager – Telephone / Home Based – Payments / Merchant Services
Salary package: £30-£35k + bonus (50% OTE)
Location: remote / home based role
Our client is a high-growth payments company, with an excellent reputation and several offices across the UK. Delivering payment solutions to a wide range of merchants, we are now keen to add to our account management team. This is a home based role, where you will contact a set portfolio of clients, build a relationship with and then use your commercial and relationship skills to renew contracts and/or retain existing customers - there is no cold calling, or direct sales, in this role.
About the role:
• pro-active account management of a portfolio of clients including SME & corporate customers, aiming to secure their renewal of contract & retain them as a customer
• take responsibility for ensuring revenue targets are achieved and client satisfaction is maintained (growth through identifying opportunities to cross/up sell to existing accounts)
• work closely with the internal teams to drive performance, and externally within the clients to ensure any issues are managed and dealt with
• delivering growth & renewals as per target
• act as an escalation point for any problems or issues, representing the company as a product evangelist
About you:
• you will be skilled at building & maintaining excellent client relationships within client accounts, be a very confident individual on the phone who can ask the right questions, qualify opportunities and - most important of all - be a great listener!
• you will have a track record of success gained in an account management, customer care or sales environment, preferably within payments or merchant services / financial services
• having a pro-active and highly driven approach to the role, it's important to be flexible and motivated, able to manage both the customer relationship side and the administrative side as well
• must have a good understanding of merchant services, payments / cards and/or acquiring
• able to work both as part of a wider team as well as independently, able to cross-check and maintain an excellent level of reporting & data about your portfolio
