Alternative Payment Methods – Strategic Partnerships Director

Our client is a global unicorn fintech  with some of the most cutting edge clients in the world.
As part of their dynamic growth they are seeking to appoint an Alternative Payment Methods specialist  with experience in all aspects of Partnership management. This is a strategically critical role in a high growth area for the organisation and will require you to manage and build a team to support this function as well as possess Alternative Payment Methods and Partnership experience. To be successful in this role, you be  a self-starter with proven experience of being hands on in a high-growth, fast-paced environment.
You will own the process from sourcing and building relationships with target Alternative Payment Providers, aggregators and partners, contract negotiation and signing through to integration.
You will contribute to the launch and management of new payment methods and add  value as the organisation continues  to grow.
If you are a motivated and driven leader with a track record in leading teams to establish and maintain partnerships with leading Alternative Payment Methods (APM) providers, this is the role for you.

Day to day you will ;

  • Manage the relationships with new and existing APMs for which to source partners (aggregators, direct integrations), sign NDAs, define SLAs or SLOs, negotiate pricing and contractual terms, agree on service offering and pricing, draft contracts, onboard entities and execute funds flow set-up
  • Manage and build the APM financial partnerships management team
  • Leverage broader financial partnerships resources in APAC, MENA and the US
  • Work cross-functionally with Product and other teams to define the strategy and own the process of all required activities, such as sourcing and building relationships with target Alternative Payment Providers, aggregators and partners 
  • Lead the negotiation and execution of Agreements with APM partners, in line with project requirements


  • Multiple years of account management and business development experience
  • People management experience, an ability to work cross-functionally and with global stakeholders
  • Stakeholder experience specifically across : Product, operations and business development  Engineering, Commercial, Strategy,  Legal and Finance
  • Technical understanding of Alternative Payment Methods
  • A strong commercial acumen with an understanding of business processes, pricing and strategy
