Application Support Analyst - Dublin - must have Payments experience
Full-time - 3 days in the office 2 days from home
Our client is a global fintech looking to grow its Client Services team with a team of Application analysts to perform a tier 2 support function for their cutting edge blue chip merchants.
To be successful in this role, you will be a self-motivated SQL specialist with experience in a technical support role and the ability to work in a fast paced environment
Day to day you will :
- Work with Engineering and Product teams to escalate and resolve issues
- Prioritize and manage cases, documenting troubleshooting activity in a case management system
- Build technical domain expertise
- Proactively identify where an issue may need additional help or escalation
- Gain a deep understanding of product line processes by attending training, self-paced learning and practising and investigating things for yourself
- Understand and adopt processes and give ideas where these could be improved
To be successful in this role you will possess:
- 2+ years of experience in a product focused technical support / application analyst role
- Strong SQL experience, including querying and investigating data
- Experience working with APIs
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage workloads
- Incident management and process understanding
- Experience of software development concepts, lifecycle and technologies valued
- Experience of working within Agile environments, managing multiple products at one time
- Ability to work in a complex domain and a fast-moving technical environment
- Exposure to Continuous Integration and Deployment workflows valued
- Excellent communication skills and experience managing stakeholders of varying seniority and technical ability
- Education and learning in Computer/Information technologies or equivalent
- AWS experience or exposure is beneficial
- Experience working within a microservices architecture/distributed architecture valued
- Payments industry experience essential
