Our client is a leading payments and fraud technology business, with an extensive client list and exceptional reputation in their industry. As a payment gateway, they work closely with clients across Europe to ensure they help their customers to achieve their plans. They have industry expertise, fantastic customer service and unique technology, which they sell to banks, card processors and end user merchants.

A Business Analyst requirements engineer is required to join the growing Product team. You will be experienced in requirements capture and management, being able to effectively articulate business problems to be solved – the what, the why and the why now. You will become a trusted member of the team who can be relied on to provide a clear and consistent assessment of a need.

Reporting to Product within the Commercial team, you will play your part in helping to build and establish the Product team within the business.  

You will be able to assess functional and non-functional asks for both existing and prospective Customers, with a drive for consistency and simplification, and an approach that removes ambiguity. You will have an Agile mindset and be able to communicate confidently with any member of an organisation. You will take responsibility for the business requirements lifecycle – capture of new requirements from external and internal stakeholders, and management of these and all existing requirements as the Products mature. 

The responsibilities in the role:

 Facilitating and leading onsite, as well as offshore, requirement gathering sessions with clients and other internal stakeholders.
 Creating detailed business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, refining and prioritising
 Ownership of the change/project from the requirements to delivery stages
 Working closely with internal stakeholders, such as the commercial team, software developers & QA engineers, to communicate requirements and ensure they are well-understood

You are likely to have the following experience:

 Degree qualified or equivalent professional qualification, or qualified by experience 
 Payments, cards, fuel card or API knowledge would be beneficial 
 Strong analytical ability
 Experience of working within an Agile delivery framework would be useful but isn't essential 
 Attention to detail in both analysing and producing data
 Ability to work well under pressure
 Capable of explaining technical problems and solutions to a non-technical audience.
 Ability to modify communication content and style depending on seniority of stakeholders
