Business Development Manager – Enterprise merchants

 

Our client provides a  unique single payments platform offering  acquiring, processing, digital wallets, VAT refund and currency conversion capabilities.

 

Due to dynamic growth, they are now seeking a Business Development Manager with experience of selling to enterprise merchants.

 

Job scope

In this role, you will be responsible for developing a pipeline of new Retail business. This is a 100% new business role, aimed at the Retail vertical in the UK, with a reliance on you to self-generate your new prospects from your existing professional and merchant network.

Daily sales activities are focused on self-generating new Enterprise opportunities that lead to new business income. You will drive new prospecting activity directly, through partners and your own network.

You will make phone calls to contact targets and diarize sales meetings and build a strong internal network to ensure you have the correct team in place to support any bid. You will represent the company  at specific events and sell socially on platforms such as LinkedIn. You will be the trusted advisor to the prospect, helping them identify and develop their needs and matching the benefits of company solutions to build a truly valued partnership.

 

Day to day you will be :

 

  • Selling full stack payment solutions to include acquiring, gateway, unified commerce and value added services.
  • Identify, build and manage a pipeline of Retail prospects and build relationships to deliver on pre-set Country targets
  • Build and utilise third party relationships to help access Enterprise Retail merchants.
  • Build a strong internal network to aid customer delivery
  • Keep up-to-date of all competitor activity and market place opportunities
  • Utilising CRM to track and monitor sales activity 

 

To be successful you will possess :

  • Strong payments experience with the Retail vertical or similar industry
  • Proven self-starter, networker and relationship builder - Must enjoy independent working
  • A proven track-record of accomplishments of managing strategic relationships, prospecting and delivering high revenue / profitable and long-term agreements
  • Must have a goal orientated, agile and performance related culture
  • Proven organisational, planning and time management
