Business Development Manager - Unattended Payments

Location: Remote UK 
Type: Permanent
Salary: £70,000 - £85,000 Per Annum (+ uncapped commission & bens)

Our client is a highly successful payments company with an exceptional range of payments solution. As part of their continued growth, they are keen to grow the sales team, and hire a successful sales person to join them and drive revenue growth in the UK & Europe. The successful candidate must have a track record of sales success within mid-size to corporate/enterprise level deals, or working with partners & introducers and closing new business deals within unattended payments (EV charging, forecourts, vending etc). 

The role:

  • Secure new business by targeting & prospecting large corporate opportunities to win new logo unattended payments business across all relevant verticals (including EV charging, retail, vending, forecourts)
  • Develop your own GTM strategy and business plan & develop relationships to ensure maximum penetration into key accounts
  • Sell a wide range of unattended payment solutions, utilising your knowledge of the sector, competitors and rules/risk around accepting unattended payments
  • Balance your sales pipeline so you always have a good mix of opportunities with differing sales cycles
  • Take a strategic approach to winning new business in a solution sales environment, at a senior level within target accounts 

About you:

  • You're an experienced BDM or sales person within unattended payments with a track record of 360 business development & examples of closing new logo, corporate/enterprise level wins
  • Excellent knowledge of card acquiring, unattended payments acceptance and all relevant technology (hardware and software), able to operate as an SME for your clients in complex conversations
  • Strong sales & negotiation skills, with ability to work unsupervised, with high levels of personal motivation and a hunger to close new business deals
  • Entrepreneurial & able to use your experience to help guide the business into new growth verticals for them 
  • This is an individual contributor role which carries a target, so you will be driven and able to work independently to achieve your goals (especially as working remotely)
