Our client is a  fast growing, innovative fintech already well established in the UK looking to break into the European market. They provide market leading credit and debit card processing solutions, processing £3 billion with hundreds of new customers being signed on each month.

They are looking for an exceptional and motivated Financial Controller who is able to operate in a fast-paced environment and contribute to the growth of the business as they continue to drive into new and exciting territories and product areas.

As Financial Controller, you will be reporting into the Chief Executive, and  be responsible in ensuring that all aspects of the Company’s finance and credit control functions are operating smoothly.  This is a  hands-on role and includes the management of the finance and credit control teams.  You will contribute to the strategic thinking of the Company and will be a key member of the senior leadership team.

Day to Day you will :

  • Manage the finance and credit control teams
  • Reconcile bank accounts on a daily basis
  • Monitor all elements of the accounting system including ensuring all general ledger control accounts are fully reconciled
  • Produce monthly management accounts
  • Be responsible for quarterly VAT returns
  • Produce annual Financial Statements
  • Process commission and expense claims
  • Reconcile statements from suppliers
  • Provide cash-flow forecasting
  • Monitor, evaluate and forecast financial performance.

To be successful in this role, you will have experience of :

·    ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified;

·    2 years industry experience

·    Advanced knowledge of Microsoft suite of products, especially Excel;

·    Experience of Sage 50 is a must

·    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience of leading teams 

·    Strong attention to detail and diligence

·    Reporting at Senior and Board level

·    Payments/ Fintech experience preferred or the ability to learn about this industry quickly
