Head of Acquirer Sales – Acquirers , Payments – Vienna

Acquiring, acquirers, merchant, acquirer sales,

Our client is a global payment scheme seeking a collaborative Head of Acquirer Sales.

You will  grow card acceptance and sales through partnering with acquirers, issuers, PSPs, NSPs, ISVs, ISOs, agents and merchants across Central and Eastern European markets ( entailing occasional travel there)

You will  work closely with potential and existing acquirers to drive business results, while building strategic alliances.

Day to day you will :

• Identify potential acquirers and initiate discussions

• Lead negotiations and build business relationships

•     Leverage relationships with clients to expand brand activities and promote merchant/card member acquisitions

•     Build alliances and maintain relationships with existing and potential

•     Expand acceptance routes with existing partners (E.g. mPpos, Ecommerce etc)

•     Recruit merchants for card acceptance

•     Manage operational activities and relationships of the team (including terminal issues and terminal vendors, other systems-related partnerships)

•     Liaise with European HQ to develop specific campaigns and promotions to drive card acceptance, increase sales and maximise brand awareness

•     Attend  conferences and meetings to represent and promote the company within the local market, with a view to extending its influence and achieving company goals

•     Provide reports on the progress of business objectives

•     Manage sales team to ensure achievement on team KPIs

•     Build and strengthen relationships with key internal stakeholders across all markets


Skills and Knowledge

• Payments experience

• Strong sales and marketing skills and understanding of sales processes

• Outstanding customer development and relationship management skills

• Strong leadership skills

• Ability to execute against the strategy; drive results

• Demonstrable analytical and data interpretation skills

• Strong presentation skills, articulate, able to communicate clearly at all levels
