International Payments Product Manager

In your role as International Payments Product Manager, your focus on product quality is consistent and relentless to deliver next-level Payment’s capabilities.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and execute the product roadmap for International Payments, expanding from the Bank’s current domestic payment capabilities, in an agile and iterative manner.
  • Effectively communicate and distil the roadmap into specific business requirements for both in-house and external engineering teams, while also managing capacity to ensure timely quality delivery.
  • Serve as the product subject matter expert (SME) on international payments, covering SWIFT, correspondent banking, agency banking, FX, treasury, and cross-border settlement processes, providing deep expertise across the client journey.
  • Work effectively with the Payment Operations team to develop and document end-to-end operational processes for international payments.
  • Enhance and optimize the bank’s payments platform by improving the Client API and core payment engine, focusing on speed, reliability, scalability, and seamless global connectivity.
  • Champion customer needs and use cases in a complex, rapidly evolving international payments landscape, ensuring the product meets the expectations of corporate, institutional, and fintech clients.
  • Engage with global payment schemes, regulators, and industry bodies to design and implement compliant, cutting-edge international payments connectivity solutions within strict deadlines.
  • Understanding industry trends to ensure the product capabilities and directions will ensure we establish and maintain leadership in the Payments segment.
  • Act as a day-to-day contact for all international payment-related product queries, dealing with and escalating any issues to management in a timely manner 

About you:

  • Experience in a Financial Services or Banking environment.
  • You have a deep and broad knowledge of the payments industry, notably across the client journey for international payments (SWIFT, correspondent banking, agency banking, FX, treasury).
  • You keep your finger on the pulse of trends and regulatory changes in the Global Payments space such as Real Time Payments, New Payments Architecture (NPA) and Open Banking.
  • Passionate about providing unparalleled levels of service and convenience for customers
  • You have brilliant problem-solving skills and a high degree of independent initiative, with a sharper focus to drive delivery in an agile-based working environment.
  • You are a positive self-starter with excellent communication skills, well-organised, you can establish strong working relationships with a wide variety of customers, peers and stakeholders in a fast-paced bank.
