 We’re looking for a Backend Developer Lead to join the Debit Card team. This role is a mix between leadership and technological. You’ll be leading a team of senior developers and test engineers responsible for the backend powering the card. This involves participation in design and development of backend services as well as supporting and coaching the team.

Responsibilities

• Support, coach and develop team members into top performing engineers
• Build a great place to work for talented and motivated people
• Champion engineering best practices: devops, automated testing, code reviews and simple design
• Design and code bulletproof payment-processing systems

Skills needed

• Significant software engineering experience in one or more general purpose programming languages (we use Python)
• Strong understanding of relational databases
• Understanding of microservice architecture
• Experience creating, delivering, and operating highly secure and reliable services
• Experience with AWS and/or Kubernetes is a plus
• Experience working in Finance is a plus
