Outsource Oversight Analyst - Payments / Fin-Tech / Fin-Servs

Our client is a successful international fin-tech with an impressive portfolio of payment solutions products. Due to continued growth, our Risk & Control team is hiring for a brilliant Supplier / Distributor / Outsource Oversight Specialist to join the friendly & supportive team & manage a several high profile key remediation areas. 

This role sits within our wider team of Business Controls Specialists in the First Line of Defence (FLOD). This role focuses on the ongoing development of the Outsourcing Oversight Framework, building on existing processes & improving the culture of risk management and governance in our business.

This is a diverse role & will cover areas such as distributor risk assessments, customer due diligence, regulatory notifications, and ongoing monitoring and assurance activities. You will bring hands-on experience in this space from your background within a regulated environment. We are looking for a candidate who will enjoy working in a dynamic scale-up setting, is solutions-oriented, possesses strong commercial acumen, and demonstrates the drive and enthusiasm to implement risk-based, pragmatic, and commercially sound processes.

About the role: 

  • Build and develop great relationships with our key EU distributors, who are authorised re-sellers of our products, and identify & highlight any issues with compliance, process weaknesses or regulatory gaps and work closely with internal SME's to prepare and deliver a remediation plan. 
  • Own and maintain the outsourcing oversight roster, calendar of events, and registry of findings, ensuring effective tracking and accountability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Compliance, Risk, Legal, IT, and Operations to ensure oversight processes are fully integrated and aligned with business objectives.
  • Conduct periodic reviews of outsourced partners in line with the Outsourcing Oversight Framework, assessing compliance with contractual obligations and regulatory requirements.
  • Focus areas include, but are not limited to: Customer Due Diligence, Customer Service, Complaints Management, Contract Adherence
  • Analyse review outcomes, identify key risks or compliance gaps, and escalate findings as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with First Line of Defence stakeholders to define, oversee, and track remediation plans, ensuring timely resolution and effectiveness of corrective actions.

About you: 

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a regulated environment (e.g. financial services, payments, fintech) with direct exposure to outsourcing oversight, third-party risk management, business controls, or governance frameworks.
  • A strong understanding of risk management principles, regulatory expectations (e.g. EBA Guidelines on Outsourcing, Consumer Protection Code, PSD2), and best practices in overseeing critical outsource providers.
  • Demonstrated ability to design, implement, and assess controls, and to identify, escalate and manage risk related issues.
  • Analytical acumen with proven ability to interpret data, identify trends, distil results and present clearly and concisely to a leadership team.
  • Good communication skills both written and verbal - being able to build great relationships with distributors is key.
