Partnerships & Business Development Manager – U.S. Expansion ðŸŒŽðŸ’³

Location: Remote (UK/EU)
Salary: Up to €80K + commission, OTE £180k + equity from Y2

We’re a high-growth payment-technology scale-up focused on payment orchestration for subscriptions, and we're on a mission to revolutionise merchant payments. Now, we’re taking on the U.S. market — and we’re looking for an entrepreneurial Partnerships & Business Development Manager to lead the charge.

This is a build-from-scratch role: you’ll identify, connect with, and onboard Payment Service Providers (PSPs) and acquirers, driving strategic partnerships that fuel our U.S. growth.

What you’ll be doing 🚀

  • Map the Market – Analyse the U.S. payments landscape, identify high-potential PSPs & acquirers, and keep a live target list.
  • Win New Partners – Reach out, pitch our value, and secure meetings with key decision-makers.
  • Close Deals – Lead partners from first conversation to signed contracts or MIDs.
  • Collaborate Across Teams – Work with Product, Compliance & Engineering to ensure smooth integrations.
  • Stay Ahead – Track competitor moves, regulatory changes & tech trends to inform our GTM strategy.
  • Own Your Pipeline – Keep CRM data accurate, forecast results, and report progress.
  • Test & Learn – Treat outreach like experiments, refine your approach, and share learnings.

What we’re looking for 💡

  • 3+ years in business development, sales, partnerships, or entrepreneurial roles 
  • Excellent written & spoken English — confident talking to senior U.S. executives.
  • Proven ability to break into new markets with persistence & creativity.
  • Self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity & time zone differences.
  • Bonus: Experience in payments, fintech, SaaS, or e-commerce, US focused, exposure to high risk verticals, subscriptions etc.

  • Strong prospecting & negotiation abilities.
  • Sharp research & market-mapping skills.
  • Resilience in the face of rejection, ability to close
  • Clear, persuasive communication.

  • Existing network in U.S. PSPs/acquirers.
  • Hands-on payments experience & knowledge of U.S. payments regulations.
  • Start-up or scale-up experience.
