As the  Payment Authorisation Optimisation and Issuer Relationship expert, you will be responsible for leading Issuer engagements across the UK and mainland Europe. Working closely with multiple internal stakeholders , you will interact with Issuers to raise, investigate and resolve soft declines and other payments performance discrepancies, scoping out  improvement opportunities along the way. In addition, you will engage with external stakeholders across forums and thought leadership venues to develop and strengthen existing and prospective merchants’ and partners’ awareness of company  capabilities and focus on payments optimization to drive more business growth for its customers.



You will be a passionate advocate for a  merchant-centric approach, by taking the lead in engaging issuers and merchants, developing and refining the communication and messaging, to strenghten the company’s  position as the  leader in comprehensive data-driven payment solutions. 


You will join an ambitious team of partnership professionals, data scientists and engineers who are working together within an area of high strategic importance to the organisation.


Day to day you will :


●       Drive the Issuer Outreach Programme across the UK and mainland Europe

●       Deliver Issuer engagement and provide insight on company  Data Analytics value proposition to merchants

●       Partner with Commercial Teams to provide insights merchant centric approach to business performance improvement

●       Articulate proposed solutions for  improved merchants’ performance & revenue for both the merchant and the company (internal / external ROI)


To be a success in this role, you will be experienced in authentication, issuer risk and fraud management processes. You speak with authority and conviction on best practices used by issuers and acquirers throughout their customer lifecycles and

you will need to demonstrate :


●       Payments experience  in a data intensive and performance-focused environment

●       Experience in Authorisation Optimisation, Risk/Fraud Management or Data Analytics is valued

●       Excellent communication skills and relationship payment industry gravitas

●       Executive presence with an ability to take initiative and find creative solutions and  effective ways of communicating business solutions

●       Recognised industry expert capable of navigating complex Issuing organisations
