Payments Service Provider Operations Manager/Specialist – 12 month contract Hybrid/London

 

My client are looking for a payments operations specialist who can be the main point of contact between them and the payments service provider.

You will be managing the relationship operationally between one or multiple payments service providers.

In particular you will have the following skill set:

 

Understand PSP landscape and payment ecosystem (i.e. the role they play, how they operate etc)

Relationship management + communication effectiveness ( note though this is not a Sales/BD role, the key skill here is communications and client relationship in order to develop and deepen external party relationships)

  Partner operations account management (again this is not a sales role)

Technical consulting / aptitude – be able to resolve technical issues with the PSPs and merchants, able to get into the weeds, can read or interpret specifications well, as needed; able to facilitate technical discussions and be able to translate this to business speak

Data analysis and reporting – able to understand data sets, come up with a theme and report on this effectively, so not just present the data, but interpret is and present the issues

Problem-solving – will be inquisitive in nature and able to help us deliverables to resolve for example card acceptance issues (not declines but breakages)

Project management – this is not a PM role entirely, but requires someone with  broad skillsets about coordination, tracking, progressing and delivering initiative will be key (i.e. able to organize things systematically), dealing with multiple PSPs or customers at the same time

  For those that come from PSP operations role today, they must be able to elevate themselves above working for a PSP (with a Merchant relationship); they can still leverage this experience to provide an understanding from within the PSP sphere.

 

Nice to have any of the following industry experience:

awareness of hotels payment solutions and ecosystems

1 contractor: awareness of F&B payment solutions and ecosystems

Experience of previously managing relationships or be the key point of contact with PSPs

 

(cards, payments, schemes, Payment service providers, payments consultant, technical payments, operations manager)
