BASIC FUNCTION: The Product Delivery team within Payment Services, Global Products and Partnerships division is responsible for developing, managing and implementing advanced payment products across Discover Financial Services. These products are based on technologies such as EMV, Contactless (i.e. NFC), 3DS, and QR Code. The payment technologies broadly impact the payment ecosystem from card issuing to merchant acquiring. D-PAS is Discover Financial Services EMV-compliant payment specification. You will be responsible for providing the development and management of the advanced payment product delivery across Discover, Diners Club International and PULSE issuers, acquirers and merchants in the APAC (Asia Pacific) region. You will also work with external consultants, terminal manufacturers, card manufacturers, personalization bureaus, testing labs, and test tool vendors to help enable support. You will provide technical product knowledge, process expertise, and project management advice. You will help guide internal team members and partners through the product implementation lifecycle, and collaborate with partners to troubleshoot failed tests, review requests for policy exceptions/waivers, and approve final certifications as required. You will oversee the resolution of issues that arise during planning, certification, implementation and deployment. You will build relationships with current and potential issuing, acquiring and merchant partners. This involves providing consultative support to sales teams in client meetings and throughout client implementations. You will also interact regularly with current and potential network partners, including providing training and other SME guidance as required. KEY SKILLS/COMPETENCIES and PROFICIENCY LEVELS: ?Must have extensive payments experience, preferably including experience with advanced payment products, such as EMV (5-7 years). ?Bachelors degree required, Masters degree preferred. ?Must have successfully led and implemented large, business critical projects, with a large number of work group members and large budget. ?Strong aptitude for leadership, strategic planning and organizational skills. Ability to drive results under pressure. ?Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to understand complex technical concepts. ?Must be able to travel internationally. ?Proficiency in Mandarin, Cantonese (conversation, writing professional communications and reading) a plus. ?Experience in managing multiple partner / vendor relationships simultaneously must possess excellent client management skills. ?Strong PC competency (MS Office products, Visio, and Microsoft Project) required. ?Excellent presentation skills, including the ability to effectively deliver information to internal and external constituents at all levels. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: ?Ensure product implementation goals are met by creating / managing a clear strategy and implementation prioritization for the APAC region, and by providing SME support to internal and external partners to deliver against the strategy. ?Align product delivery approach for APAC across key business partners, and manage clear communications around progress against strategy. ?Set regional priorities for incentives and ensure tracking to incentive goals. ?Manage relationships with DFS partners including regional issuers, acquirers, processors, card vendors, card personalization bureaus, terminal vendors, and laboratories to ensure the processes are effective (including resolution of issues resulting in test failures). Assist the product team in the management of interoperability issues found by DFS partners and in identifying products that may need to be developed for regional growth. ?Identify opportunities to deliver training or provide other regionally-specific support materials such as marketing materials or clientfacing presentations. ?Represent DFS at industry and client events, and prepare and deliver SME-level presentations to all levels of internal and external management. ?Collaborate with PM team to ensure appropriate tracking of metrics, reporting, and project status and the status of product delivery. ?Continue to assess opportunities to improve deployment processes and develop efficiency programs.
