Product Manager - Account Based Services

Our client is in a high growth area, currently processing over 100 billion EUR worth of payments every year.
The Product Manager for Account based Services role is a highly strategic and impactful role reports into the Head of Issuing and Financial Services.
You will have ownership and accountability for the design, development, implementation and ongoing management of account-based payment strategy, proposition and partner ecosystem. You will help drive growth through the development and launch of new products/payment methods and/or adding new corridors/countries.
You will have extensive experience and understanding of account-based payments, including Domestic, Regional and Cross Border Payment Gateways, Technology Providers and Clearing Houses. You will have deep knowledge of the various potential operating models to deliver account-based payment services and the relevant legal and regulatory requirements i.e. as direct participant, via intermediaries etc. You will have knowledge and experience in understanding customer needs and payment method/instrument attributes in order to build a prioritised and optimal road map and launch plan in terms of new payment instruments, methods and corridors.
Day to day you will :
- Own the design, development, implementation and ongoing management of account-based payment strategy
- Identify, engage, negotiate, onboard and manage key financial services, payment gateway and intermediary partners as part of execution of an agreed account-based payment strategy
- Own the end to end product development lifecycle including ideation, development of business requirements documentation, business case, go-to-market strategy and product programme guide, coordination of UAT & Business Readiness
- Ownership and accountability for the development, implementation and ongoing management for all account-based payment product P&L's
- Support the commercial, operational & customer product teams in the release and adoption phases
- Support the partnerships teams in sourcing the right partners aligned with the strategy
- You’ll have experience in account-based payments working as a product owner / manager for a FinTech, Payment Network, Scheme or Gateway
- You’ll have managed the end to end lifecycle in the development and delivery of new products including development of a Go-To-Market Strategy
- You’ll have proven ability to oversee the creation and management of multiple products or services, with the understanding of how to monitor KPI's, and adapt to new strategies
- You’ll have proven ability to implement strategic initiatives with efficiency, professionalism and demonstrate trouble shooting/problem solving skills
- You’ll have worked with offshore Technical Product Management and R&D teams to execute a product strategy
