My client is a FinTech company offering businesses an easier  digital alternative to and stress of Business banking, building a one-stop-shop for businesses, with banking, card issuing and merchant acquiring all on one platform.

They are now looking for a Product Owner to shape and lead the development of the Merchant Acquiring business. In this exciting new role you will be working closely with Product, Tech and Risk teams to build a business that will grow and support SME customers across Europe

You will be responsible for:

• Designing, developing, implementing and owning the merchant acquiring business
• Assisting the Exec team in formulating and implementing a pan-European merchant acquiring strategy
• Assisting the Risk team in creating policy and processes based on our strategic approach and risk appetite. Assisting with the development of our machine learning fraud prevention system.

·       Working with the Sales team to generate appropriate leads through various channels

·       Managing third party relationships with service providers and PSPs

·       Iteratively improving the merchant acquiring solution through in-house development or partnering with other Fintech specialists

To be successful  in this role, you will possess:

• Experience in Product Manager / Owner role in merchant acquiring, as well as a proven track record of implementing new successful merchant acquiring products and features
• Good knowledge of card schemes and payment processors, on-boarding and the sales process, especially with an eye on risk management / compliance
• An eye for, or experience of fraud patterns and trends among merchant accounts
• Work collaboratively with others including excellent oral and verbal and communication skills
• An analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude
