Our client is a global payment scheme seeking a collaborative Senior Account Manager  

You will  grow card acceptance and sales through partnering with acquirers, issuers, payment institutes, agents, merchants, terminal vendors and third-party companies to build and maintain strong relationships with them across Germany and the rest of the DACH markets

You will also liaise with global offices and colleagues.

 

Key Responsibilities

•        Establishment and maintenance of  partnership relationships with clients  to drive issuing and acceptance activity within the assigned markets

•        Build and maintain relationships with partners including key merchants and acquirers

•        Understand the issuing and acquiring market structure in each assigned area and identify the main players 

•        Create and update  a target list of potential Issuing and Acquirer Partners

•        Organize follow up meetings with interested potential Issuing and Acquirer partners to grow the business

•        Support negotiations on signing Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDA) with potential customers and participate in follow up meetings

•        Support negotiations on commercial agreements

•        Recruit merchants for card acceptance

•        Prepare and submit reports on Issuing and Acquiring activities and results

•        Be chief contact for the partners, communicate high level technical queries regarding system development and operations to the customer

•        Coordination of implementation projects

•        Support marketing partnerships with companies in target markets utilizing their distribution channels to increase visibility

•        Provide induction training and on-going support to team members

•        Travel within target markets and overseas for meetings

 

To be successful in this role you will need :

•        Knowledge of Financial Services and/or Payment Card Industry preferred but experience in hospitality/ travel/ airlines / loyalty / luxury industries is also valued

•        Ability to influence and sell ideas to diverse groups (i.e. acquirers, agents and merchants)

•        Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills with C1 German

•        Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders

•        Commercial awareness

•        Pro-active and reliable
