Senior Finance Officer

Wednesdays and Thursdays in the London office


Do you have experience of management accountancy and cashflow monitoring / forecasting  in a fast-paced hands on  environment ? Do you have a FS, Fintech or Regulatory background ? Are you a dynamic, proactive self starter who thrives on autonomy ?  If so, our client is an exciting scale up owned by an established UK parent company looking for an experienced ambitious  Senior Finance Officer

This role will suit you if you are  a newly qualified accountant qualified through experience  


Job Purpose:

Reporting directly to the Head of Finance you  will focus on the day-to-day running of the finance function.


Day to day you will responsible for :

·        Accounts Payables and Receivables management

·        Operating bank accounts reconciliations

·        Posting of journal entries in the accounting system

·        Performing daily clients’ funds reconciliations

·        Performing daily reconciliations of Card Scheme and payment providers settlements

·        Ensuring that all accounting records and information on file are kept up to date

·        Assisting with the compilation of Regulatory reporting

·        Preparing VAT returns

·        Responsible for maintaining up-to-date Finance Manual and Procedures and ensuring adherence to policies and procedures;

·        Liaising with auditors and handling audit requests

·        Handling month end responsibilities and trend analysis

·        Managing cashflow and funding responsibilities

·        Modelling, analysis and reporting back to senior management

·        Driving efficiencies within the team and the wider business

·        Supporting the Head of Finance and other functions of the Institution in their financial reporting requirements


To be successful you will possess :

·        An  analytical mind with excellent problem-solving skills

·        Ability to handle day to day processing tasks coupled with strategic outlook and forward thinking attitude

·        Proficiency in MS Excel

·        A highly organized and pro-active can-do attitude

·        Great communication & organisational skills and fluent in English


Desirable Skills

·        Experience of forecasts for fundraising rounds is valued

·        Experience with MS Dynamics 365 Business Central an advantage
