Our client is a leading global travel/airline brand, with an exceptional reputation and one of the highest profile names in the industry. The global payments team within the business is a key function, managing payments across the company internationally, and are currently going through a period of transformation & change as they ensure they have a consistently class-leading product set, managing risk, revenue and customer experience.

We are keen to hire a senior payments costs manager to join our international payments function, based in West London. The role will involve:

• identifying and delivering strategic operational cost saving for the business
• ensuring costs are managed through direct & indirect payment methods, scheme fees and interchange++
• managing acquiring bank relationships, trading off risk/cost & fraud management, ensuring acquiring costs are negotiated & managed 
• using internal data to drive cost down, involved heavily in loyalty schemes and ensuring costs vs benefit is carefully examined
• work closely with internal partners to ensure the company get the most benefit from payments acceptance 
• develop new partner relationships to ensure strategy around cost savings is delivered 

About you:

• depth of knowledge around credit/debit/card processing, PSP, acquiring & gateways
• highly motivated, ambitious & able to work independently as well as lead a team, you will take the lead and can navigate complex corporate environments with ease
• good knowledge of card schemes, interchange, scheme fees, PSD2, highly numerate with a commercial focus around driving cost savings 
• able to influence and lead excellent communication & relationship building skills
• be a good negotiator with a strong commercial focus and able to appreciate the cost and benefits opportunity involved in payments acceptance
• experience gained at a bank, PSP or merchant, working with payments suppliers
